4 Cups Sugar
2 Cans Canned Milk
1/2 Pound Butter
2 Cups Corn Syrup
2 Tsp Vanilla
Melt butter, add sugar, corn syrup. When this mixture begins to boil, add milk approx. 1/4 cup at a time, every 5 minutes or allow 1/2 hr to add 2 cans of milk. Cook fairly high to medium heat, stirring constantly to keep from sticking. Cook to 236º, or firm ball stage when tested in water. May add nuts, if desired. Pour onto buttered pan. Cut into squares when cool. (Cook to 234º for caramel roll and 230º for turtles)
